About the Owner

Hello! I am Rebecca Taylor and I have been baking for 17 years now. I graduated college with a Baking and Pastry degree in 2014 and a Food Consumer Packaged Goods Marketing degree during the Coronavirus pandemic in 2020. All my life I have worked in bakeries and haven't had any other type of job because why would I? Baking is my life! I wanted to have a job that I loved and was still able to stay home and take care of my kids, which led me to start Lake Country Cakes. I have lived in the Lake Country area all my life and love every aspect of it and want to provide my pastries to the area that I adore so much. In 2019 I had my amazing son and decided to be a stay at home mom, in 2022 I had my beautiful baby girl who is my mini me, and in June 2024 I married my best friend, bought my dream home with my own bakery space.

I cannot say enough good things about Lake Country Cakes. We ordered a Mario themed cake for our son's birthday and it came out even better than I could have imagined. We asked for two additional characters to be added and chef Rebecca delivered. Not only was the cake design awesome but it was delicious. My whole family loved the cake. I ordered a birthday cake for my mom and it exceeded our expectations! The cake was moist and tasted delicious and the buttercream was so light and fluffy with the perfect amount of sweetness.
